Receipt and invoice capture that extracts data with AI and publishes coded transactions to QuickBooks, Xero or Sage.

Overview
Dext, formerly Receipt Bank, is a bookkeeping automation tool that collects receipts, bills and supplier statements by mobile photo, email forwarding or supplier fetch, extracts the fields with machine learning, applies supplier rules and tax codes, then publishes the transactions to QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage or FreeAgent. Small businesses such as restaurants, retailers and contractors with steady paper volume use it so the owner or bookkeeper never retypes a receipt. Add-on extraction handles line items, bank statements and supplier statement reconciliation, and expense claims let staff submit purchases for approval. A pilot is forwarding all supplier emails to the Dext inbox and photographing receipts for one month, then reviewing the published items in the accounting system for coding accuracy. Dext also offers separate Practice plans for accounting firms, which often provide it to clients at a discount. Caveat: the plan is sized by documents per month, and extra users add allowance rather than being free, so volume should be estimated before buying.
