Krisp started as a noise-cancellation app that sits between the microphone and any calling software, removing background sounds and echo from both sides of a call. It now adds a meeting assistant that transcribes and summarizes calls without sending a bot into the meeting, because it captures audio locally on the computer. This works across Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, phone softphones, and any other app, which makes it useful for small businesses that take calls from home offices, shops, or vans. Summaries include action items and can be shared to Slack, HubSpot, or Salesforce. There is a free tier with daily limits, and paid Meeting AI plans are inexpensive on annual billing. It also offers an accent-conversion feature for call centers. The caveat is that it is a desktop app, so recordings only happen on the machine where Krisp is running, and the free tier's daily noise-cancellation minutes run out quickly for people on calls all day.
