Overview

What it does.

Slite is a documentation workspace built for internal knowledge: handbooks, processes, meeting notes, and decisions organized into channels. Its Ask feature lets staff type a question and get an answer assembled from the workspace with links to the source documents, and it can also pull from connected sources such as Google Drive, Slack, and Notion or Confluence imports. Editing tools include AI drafting, summarizing, and translation, and a knowledge-management panel flags stale or duplicated documents that need review. Small companies use it as a lighter alternative to Notion or Confluence when the goal is mainly documentation and answers rather than project management. Integrations include Slack, Google Drive, Figma, Loom, Miro, and Airtable embeds, and there is an API. The caveat is that there is no free plan beyond the trial, and answer quality depends on how well the workspace is maintained, so a team must commit to writing things down for the Ask feature to be useful.
