Overview

What it does.

Superhuman is a paid email client that sits on top of Gmail and Outlook accounts and adds AI features for drafting, summarizing, and sorting mail. Its Auto Drafts feature writes replies in the user's voice, Ask AI answers questions across the inbox, and Split Inbox separates customer mail, newsletters, and calendar invites. It is used mostly by founders, sales teams, and executives who live in email and want to clear it quickly. In a small business it typically replaces the default Gmail or Outlook web interface for the owner or customer-facing staff, with read statuses, follow-up reminders, and snippets for repeated answers. Integrations include Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack, and Notion. Superhuman is now owned by Grammarly and is sold both standalone and inside the Superhuman suite. The caveat is cost: at $30 to $40 per seat it is expensive compared with free email clients, and the AI features that justify the price are only on the Business tier.
